Its comic book-like charm and Jack Nicholson's performance as Joker make it an unforgettable experience.

Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, directed by Tim Burton. The film stars Michael Keaton in the title role, as well as Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, Robert Wuhl and Jack Palance. The film, in which Batman deals with the rise of a costumed criminal known as "The Joker", is the first installment of Warner Bros.' Batman film series.Despite the non convincent performance by Keaton as Bruce Wayne, this movie rocks as presents an awasome absolute freak out performance by Jack Nicholson as The Joker .The direction is great and the scenery is a show appart.

I enjoyed this version. I know Batman is always supposed to be...troubled, but...let's face it, nobody does troubled like Christian Bale. This was a Batman I enjoyed. And Michael K. got down a few times, anyway.

A slightly dark and very fun big screen adaptation. Even though we now have the Christopher Nolan masterpieces, this is still entertaining enough to go back and watch again.

good movie. i felt that the modern remakes are much better as the graphics and sets have had its day, and feel that its one of those films at the time it was released it would of been great but the graphics do let it down Jack Nicholson as the joker was a very good villian and was greatly suited to this role. i though Michael Keaton was a bit lack luster and felt i was supporting the joker more in the film

The plot is a little messy and, at times, over-the-top, but I do enjoy some of the macabre visuals Burton injects into the film. Nicholson is memorable as the Joker (at least, until someone named Heath Ledge took over.)

Well, compared to the new batman films, this movie sucked balls. And Nicholsons joker is not even in the same league as Ledgers. The performances are not so good and not the story to.

The original comic book classic. One of Burton's finest. Keaton is the definitive Batman and Nicholson is a memorable Joker. One of the funnest blockbusters ever.
