The story is about a twelve-year-old boy wishes he were big and the next thing he knows he is an adult trying to make a living while his friends are still in grade school. Big is a heat warming movie with a great a excellent acting by Tom hanks.

A great movie that really showcases the acting prowess of Jon Lovitz. There was also another guy in it who became pretty popular, but I can't recall his name right now

One of Tom Hanks' best. A classic piece of 80s nostalgia.

Definitely a comedy that relies on the likability of its actors to succeed. Tom Hanks has the right combination of youthful innocence and glee here. The piano scene is a classic.

The theme of this movie, and the piano scene is what makes it worth watching.

I think everyone is aware that this is a family movie classic. It is great for all ages and funny for all ages. The writing makes the story compelling despite its wild premise.

Hanks is fantastic in this film! He is completely believable as a thirteen year old boy in the boy of a grown man. Charming, funny, warm. This is a great show for everyone (with some editing of one sexual encounter for younger viewers).

What a great movie. This would be on the top of my best of the 80's list. If you haven't seen this movie then you are misssing out. Who didn't have the dream of making/testing toys as a career? This is really the first Tom Hanks movie I remember seeing and look at him now.
