One Week Where Any and Everything Goes!

Two wives, Maggie (Jenna Fischer) and Grace(Christina Applegate) get fed up with their husbands Rick(Owen Wilson) and Fred(Jason Sudeikies) constantly leering at other women, and behaving as though they miss the single life and sleeping with other women. So in hopes to save their marriage, they both give their husbands a hall pass meaning a week free from marriage where they are free to sow their wild oats guilt free no questions asked. The boys are instantly excited and embrace the idea except they find that it isn't as easy as they remember getting laid when they hit of all the places, Applebee's to try and locate women and satisfy all their sexual fantasies.
The ladies, on the other hand, go Maggie's father's summer home for the week and being spouse free themselves find that male …

The film stars Owen Wilson, Richard Jenkins, Alyssa Milano and Christina Applegate. This idea coupled with a decent screenplay and reliable actors was effective. Having a "Hall Pass" to take a break is something that can be used, abused or just to take time off for reflection, as seen on the flick. It seems comedy and Owen Wilson just goes hand in hand (Shanghai Noon, Meet the Parents, etc.). The film would not be good without him in tow. There were so many funny scenes and realistic approaches regarding marriage. This is relevant for those who have tied the knot for several years and looking for an adventure/time to reflect on family time. The cast did a nice job in providing additional laughter, it is the Farrelly brothers. A fun film for people about to get married or already …
