What's the point of remaking a true horror classic just to do all over again... "POINTLESS".

This movie kind of surprised me. When I heard they remade one of my favourite movies ever made, and even cast Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates, I thought "well, you can only **** with it." I was actually kind of surprised. While it is not nearly as good as the origional, Van Sant does a great job with it and it actually is alot better than Psycho III. I was very surprised by how good Vince Vaughn was at playing Norman. While he's no Anthony Perkins, he really gives his best performance of his career in this movie. I'd give it a shot, just don't expect it to be as good as the origional, great Hitchcock masterpeice.

Waste of time. Fans of the original, don't watch it. People who haven't seen either, watch the original. There is no point to remaking a movie exactly scene for scene. NO point!

An almost shot-for-shot remake of the original psycho, which begs the question, why? Despite the modern feel, I can't help but compare it to the original and if you're not bringing much new to the table, you can't touch Hitchcock.

Vince Vaughn does a great job of being actually insane. It is not really a good remake nor is it a bad one. Only see this if you have an open mind about remakes. Some scenes are better than the original and it does have a modern feel.
