"Resident Evil: Apocalypse" by Yojimbo

Now this one is a sod to score, for the following reason: The cons: 1. There is not ONE original idea on display here. It rips off not only every zombie film out there, but also Alien Resurrection, The Matrix, The Terminator, and even Scanners. 2. The director has NO idea how to pace a story. There is no build up, no suspense, and precious little context for the characters and their motives (this is particularly true of the completely wasted Nemesis.) 3. The last 20 minutes of the film are absolutely nonsensical; it feels like there is a huge chunk of the film missing! And worse, it feels suspiciously like a feeble tacked on excuse to introduce yet another sequel. The pros: 1. You get to see beautiful women kick zombie ass in some impressively staged set pieces. 2. The nightmare isn't over, The Hive to be reopened, and in doing so contaminated all of Raccoon City by letting all the condemned scientist trapped in the Hive free, now a city of the dead, with Alice stuck right in the middle.
Along with other survivors, Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliviera and his Captain, Nicholai, they must fight to survive, to escape the nightmare that has plagued Raccoon City. But now there is a new threat: Matt Addison last seen in resident Evil 1 who began to change at the end has now fully mutated into a seemingly unstoppable creature, code named Nemesis, who will stop at nothing until everything around it is dead, but it also has another agenda.
Plenty of action on the way with Alice in the church on her bike armed to the teeth to destroy what is in the church …
