Better than most of JCVD's action movies. It has a cool genre mashup: time travel and police procedural. While his accent is laughable, JCVD is not terrible. However, Ron Silver is admittedly more entertaining as the villain.

Solid Van Damme entry. Back when action movies could have good tag lines and keep a straight face. "A cop must go back in time to solve a murder that could change the world!" Van Damme kicks a lot of people, sometimes in the face. He also does the splits in this movie. Not on Jacky Chan's level, but still a solid offering.

A strong premise nearly scuppered by it's weak cast. JCVD just cannot act and without an excuse to get bare-chested and Thai kick-box people to death he's a waste of space.
