I loved the book, and I love this film. I'm amazed how Gerwig was able to stick to the novel's core and yet able to make a powerful commentary and a compelling message at the same time.

Rearranged then repackaged for modern audiences, this "Little Women" adaptation is almost religiously faithful to the century-and-half old text while still blooming with freshness and appeal.
