It's runtime is certainly cumbersome, but "The Chamber of Secrets" makes sure that almost every minute of it is wisely spent developing its compelling mystery and main character.

In his second year at Hogwarts a dark force terrorizes the students and Harry becomes a suspect. This movie is more corning then the first movie with the visual effect's and the writing but I don't hate this movie I actually liked the movie.

Probably the weakest in the series. A lot like the first film. Highly entertaining and well-done!

Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets has this hate where it’s the weakest film. I even though i thought that too. But I watch the movie again for review. And honestly my opinion has change. Not drastically it’s still bad. But I think it’s the second weakest of the film. What’s the story. The story is about Harry going on his second of year of hogwarts which becomes a pain as a elve named Dobbie doesn’t want Harry Potter to go back as dobbie thinks their going to be danger at hogwarts. And which their is. A chamber called the chamber of secrets has be open and no one is safe at hogwarts and Harry, Ron, and Hermione have to figure who open the chamber and why. This movie has still pretty bad writing but it’s not has bad. It’s a little better with less complaining from …

Better Than The Original

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a worthy sequel. Like any good sequel, it takes what made the original entertaining, but doesn't rely purely on those things, and instead adds some new ideas to the mix. The result is a fun, fantasy film, that's even better than the original (though not by too much).
Once again living with with his cranky foster parents, Harry is met by a strange creature named Dobby that warns him not to go back to Hogwarts. Not listening to Dobby, Harry leaves his house with help from Ron Weasley (and two of his brothers), and they all go back to Hogwarts. Though things start going wrong, just as Dobby had warned, and by through a terrible tragedy, it is revealed that the feared Chamber of Secrets have been opened.
The most notable flaws in Harry …

"Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets" by Yojimbo

Harry Potter returns to clear the name of his friend Hagrid and solve the mystery of the Chamber Of Secrets contained somewhere within the school. Fair play to J. K. Rowling for becoming a multi multi multi (multi) millionaire by pillaging every fantasy inspired story ever told, but quite why anyone over the age of twelve should be interested in this bag of blindingly obvious genre cliches I have no idea. In its favour, it's a big improvement over the first film but it's still just Tolkien does The Famous Five to a Scooby Doo plot. The effects are very good and the performances by a host of old school British thesps on auto-pilot are as reliable as you'd expect, but Radcliffe/Potter is still an annoyingly smug little brat and Rupert Grint does nothing but sniffle and yelp like a yappy …
