Was I the only one annoyed by the unnecessary vacuum noise throughout the majority of the movie? Vacuum cleaners do not build suspense in my book, they build irritation. This movie was good but not great. I am surprised it's still considered so popular. I personally prefer Batman Begins, which does make my top 50.

I, too saw The Dark Knight, in the movie theatre, when it first came out 3 years ago, and it was a wonderful movie. Both Christian Biale and (the late) Heath Ledger gave wonderful performances ini TKD. Too bad that Heath Ledger died so young. Heath Ledger's "Joker" was even more sinister and dangerous, as well as much craftier, than Jack Nicholson's Joker in Batman. The craftiness of Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight lent it an even more villainous edge.

It was an amazing movie with Nolan at his best and Christian Bale did justice to the role. Liked bad Batman Ending.

I just watched it for the second time and I still find it to be very good film. I don't think it deserves to be #1 or even in the top 10. Maybe in the 25-30 range.

Looks like it's still #10 on IMDB and #5 right here - I still think it's the best superhero movie released to date and by sheer numbers, most other people must think so too.

I personally think The Dark Knight gets all the credit it deserves. I don't think it is overated at all. It is definitely the best superhero movie of all time, and in my opinion, the best movie of the last decade. The Dark Knight will most likely stand the test of time.

i think that under all the expectation chris nolan did a good job with the dark knight, it wasnt as understated as batman begins, (which i think is maybe just as good as the dark knight) and at times it felt like scenes were only in so that the movie could get to the end and at times were either unneccesary or in the wrong place, i.e the scene where the joker kills 'gamble', and batman and fox chit chatting, it however it might just be my over expectation that makes me think this way. but on the whole what we have is an excellent action movie, with probably the most heroic yet most believable protagonist of all time and a sick demented villain who's motives are never truly explained ( because they dont have to be). well im rambling now, but id give it a 4 and a half out of 5

I thought the time passed too fast when I went to the IMAX theater. If a movie leaves me wanting more then it was worth the trip.
