Wilee as in Wile E. Coyote (Gordon-Levitt) is a New York City bike messenger whose name and reputation are so legendary that customers ask for him by name. Wilee has a passion to ride, weaving in and out of pedestrians and cars, subconsciously deciding which route to take and how to avoid a wipeout. He rides fixed gear and refuses to have brakes because he feels it’s “more dangerous”. On one particular day of business, he is asked to deliver an envelope by his girlfriend's roommate Nima (Jamie Chung) who desperately needs it delivered to a Chinese hawaladar by 7pm.
The mysterious envelope worth $50,000 immediately catches the eye of a nasty NYC cop Bobby Monday (played terrifically by Michael Shannon). Monday is a gambling-addict, who is told by the known loan-shark that if he were to snag that ticket he would be able to call off all pending debts. And so Monday confronts Wilee on his bike!
Wilee must race against the clock, while being chased by Monday, who will stop at nothing to get the contents of the envelope. The scenes are incredible spectacular and everything looks very realistic; even the dark humor ending. Dania Ramirez as Wilee’s ex-girlfriend, Jamie Chung, and Aaron Tveit round up the supporting cast.
With the adrenaline pumping bike chase scenes through the Manhattan Streets, this movie was a great thrill ride keeping you on the edge of your seat even down to the last scene!
