The Wild Bunch review

Relentless action, enticing score, lush settings and realistic outfits make it worth viewing. It has it's own flaws such as the lack of character development, iffy screenplay and plot direction. Has one of the most eciting openings for its genre but eventually dwindles towards the middle. The film revolves around Pike Bishop (William Holden), Dutch Engstrom (Ernest Borgnine), brothers Lyle (Warren Oates) and Tector Gorch (Ben Johnson), and Angel (Jaime Sánchez). No leads to enthusiastically root for, story not as clear and ending lacks impact compared to the roaring intro. Many westerns have been created with amazing results. It was surprising that such a highly regarded movie and included in many best films list. Overall, The Wild Bunch is an average western that is action packed but lacks that substance to keep it engaging.
