This is a confused, rudimentary film about nerdy love. It's composed of snarky, half-realized characters and a cyclical plot. Somehow, though, it works. It's a joy to watch the way this film cleverly uses comic book cliches, witty dialogue, and the love of music to craft one of the most entertaining films of 2010.

This really isn't a good movie. The premise is interesting - Scott Pilgrim must defeat the 7 ex-boyfriends of the woman he loves, Ramona. There's a lot of shout-outs to the Nintendo age, but once the plot (finally) gets going, this surprisingly gets boring fast. I'm not sure why Scott is so in love with Ramona - the character is completely underdeveloped and we learn nothing about her. The time between the battles is too long. The writing tries so hard to be clever to a point where it becomes annoying. And Michael Cera - well, you can pretty much expect your usual nasal, high pitched, whiny voiced character. I'm looking forward to a movie where he can stop being the same thing over and over again.

I liked this movie, I like Michael Cera and I did think the movie was a bit long. I wish I would have seen it at a theatre or with friends instead of by myself because I definately think it is a movie to watch w/group. I thought it was creative and fresh and the only thing keeping me from giving it four stars was the length. Great cast all around.

This movie is one I found absolutely quite annoying for the first fifteen minutes or so. It had very obvious and bad one liners over and over again. It though as soon as the battles begin becomes much more interesting. Not only visually so, but the humor became much funnier. I will still say not all the jokes worked, and Michael Cera is not an exceptionally compelling lead for me. Still though some good jokes, and good fights that more than make up for the opening.

Michael Cera plays Micahel Cera, not Scott Pilgrim. At points in the movie I'd wonder..."what the heck is going on?". It has a few entertaining parts, but the plot took too long to develop and if you're not a fan of Cera (which I'm not), it's hard to really enjoy it.

I am probably too old for this movie, but I liked it! I just had two problems with it, though: firstly it was too long (it should have been no more than 90mins), and secondly I found it hard to believe that Mr Pilgram could get anyway near Ramona - he was such a nerd!

The fact this movie bombed is just surprising to me. I was expecting this to top the Expendables. This is a very inventive and well made comedy. One that'll hopefully become a cult classic for years to come.
