Curiously flat, without the directorial panache one would expect from Fincher nor the emotional development required from the cast of characters. Films of this ilk tend to be episodic by nature but this is a notable disappointment. Try Big Fish or The Green Mile instead.

I have not had the chance to read the book by F. Scott. Fitzgerald yet, but after seeing the film I really really want too. This was by far the best Oscar nominated film in awhile. Very well done, special fx were top notch, acting was perfecto. This film is heartwarming and makes you feel something.

David Fincher is, no doubt, one of the finest directors of the past 20 years. I'm glad he uses in this movie, his well developed aeasthetically sense. The story is actually not great. The plot is very basic, but solid. What makes this movie great is the visuals, the music and the acting of most of them. I love Cate Blanchet, so I dont think i cant be partial regarding her. Brad Pitt was ok, ive read that his performance was a bit like joe black's. Might be. Nothing wrong with, but I understand why he developed toward that direction. At some point, it seemed like more stilized Forrest Gump, so, if that movie wouldnt had existed, this would have been a full masterpiece. Still worth it.

Interesting concept but not that well executed. It was just too slow for me, though the movie was quiet beautiful. It didn't grab me as much as it could have. Also, I didn't think like the choices of most of the character. There was just no need for some of the action. I wont say which ones so as not to ruin the story. Worth watching but not really anything special.

Weird, strange and a little creepy. A good story idea, I think it needed to stay that way, not be made into a movie. This movie was just not for me.

Frankly, I expected a lot more in the story-line department. However, watching Brad Pitt age in reverse was very entertaining. Pitt, and Cate Blanchett, usually make pretty good movies. And, having these two as the leads is probably the only good thing about this movie.

An initially intriguing premise that quickly forgets how interesting Benjamin's condition is (as apparently no doctors, scientists, or anyone else for that matter really seems to care) and it focuses on a dull love story (which is quite disturbing when you think about it). It's hard to care since no lesson is learned and Pitt is a likable actor, but he portrays Benjamin so blandly, we almost want to quietly exit the theater unnoticed as not to hurt his feelings. The scenes that work best involve Jared Harris as the hard-living tugboat captain and Henson is endearing as the strong-willed Queenie that raises Benjamin from an infant, but the journey here is long, slow and unrewarding. Final Grade: C+

To be completely frank, this movie has special effects which leave much to be desired, as well as a story that is not timeless as it would seem, but instead, is severely predictable and highly dull to watch. One constantly expects some kind of twist in order to keep them interested, but it never comes. Benjamin Button is too straight forward for its own good, and unless you go in contented with the fact that you will be bored instead of moved to tears for the better part of 3 hours, you are very likely to be disappointed.
