BlackBerry is to iPhone what MySpace is to Facebook - but the story is so much better when you have characters to work with and Jay Baruchel, Glenn Howerton and Matt Johnson make for some great characters. I remember working in the cell industry (Verizon specifically) from the Nokia brick to the Motorola Razr to the BlackBerry to the iPhone - such grand leaps in such a short amount of time - and the film really puts things into perspective.

"BlackBerry" is a great companion piece to Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin's "Steve Jobs" from 2015, another tightly scripted, skillfully acted, and most importantly interesting drama recounting the meteoric rise of a tech giant that left a lasting impact.
