More of a story based film then the first installment was and I like it more because of that. The first film was so focused on the revenge factor that I didn't feel like I got to know the character here the personality of The Bride really comes out and I think that she is a sweet and endearing character. Quentin Tarantino is a director that really knows how to deal with characters and this film really lets that out. There where some very interesting fight scenes and some good winks at traditional hong kong action flicks, overall very entertaining and a worthy predecessor.

This movie was great. I loved Volume 1, but whatever the next level is from love that's how I feel about Vol 2. Uma Thurman was incredible. I love how we get to see what really happened between her and Bill, and how she was trained to become this crazy killing bride. I also love love love the interaction with Bebe. Seeing the three of them together for a normal family while knowing that it's gonna be permanently knocked back to 2 in the next few minutes is great. There is so much to say about how great this movie is. Tarantino is CRAZY I LOVE him sometimes. Brilliant. This was just brilliant.

Though I find it to be a somewhat overrated franchise, Part II definitely does more for me.

Yes Quentin, you're still The Man. Second part is a bit different, more talk - less killing. It of course also has great dialogue and fight scenes, and tells us more about what really happened between bride and Bill. Michael Madsen and David Carradine both do really good roles, and so does everyone else too. I also find volume 2 quite touching, where volume 1 was more just bride's furious revenge. Both volumes are great movies and complement each other.

Part two delves more into story, but is no less thrilling, than the first part. There is still plenty of violence, but the dialogue really shines through. The scenese between Uma Thurman and David Carradine are nearly poetic.

The storytelling of Pei Mai and emotion filled Uma are superb. Tarantino's mix of 50's style drama, western and marshal arts help make this a superior movie over the first part.

Probably better than Volume 1, but I still want to see them all together. This one has more Drama, better dialog, and some great individual scenes to trump it over Volume 1, and Jackie Brown in Tarantino's play book.
