I have a hard time believing a director/writer of zombie movies had some sort of seeded political agenda on this one.
It's debatable how much armor any military that far back in time wore. Spartans were believed to have a period where they wore very little armor on their bodies just as 300 portrays though.
Of course Americana was injected into this film... just as in sports and music... catering to the emotions of an audience is what makes money and good entertainment.
I just don't …

I added the 1929 version of Nosferatu, there actually was a 1979 version.

From greaves to helm, Spartans fought in heavy armor -- so heavy, in fact, the famous 300 had an additional 900 armor/spear carriers stay with them till the end of the battle. "Everyone fought naked" -- you're probably thinking of the Celtoi who amused Caesar with their blue asses. As far as homosexuality is concerned, the Spartans were notorious throughout the Greek world: they adopted a system of patronage, where an older male would coach teenage boys in the ways of being manly. On their …

I completely agree with a few of them like ultraviolet, eragon, the patriot. But not the Dark Crystal, look who's talking and dragonheart. I also like armageddon though I am ashamed about that.

It's been suggested in history by many ancient scriptures that Spartans considered themselves to be a far superior race. It was also suggested that everyone fought naked back them... this was decidedly unhomo if you ask me. Not sure I can take your ranking seriously though here. You ranked a movie with more breast and penis biting by snakes than 300 killed persians. Give me a break.

Sweaty men fighting in Persia to American democracy -- only you could draw the parallel. Nice review, though I did enjoy the movie for its obvious entertainment value, I just had to pretend that it wasn't even loosely based on a real event.

We set your rank manually, Director is the thrid one from the top. Originally we did this for you so you could write full reviews, but we changed the points structure and that isn't necessary anymore. Do you want me to swtich you to the low ball rank of Aspiring Actor? If not, you can stay as Director to look cool and more important.

Snakes on a Plane Review comment
My problem with SOP is that people heard about the title and knew it would be a cult movie. They tried to make it "stylized" based on their already shitty script. You know they were going to actually make this movie try, but then with the script sucking so bad, they just left it. If "shit" is what people want, they should do it like Grindhouse - where it is paced well, has incredible style, and knows how to be bad with out being bad. Just my opinion though.
