oh i love french cinema because it IS pretentious. and bunuel's french period is stellar. I like several of his Spanish films though.

i guess i didn't mean they were overrated as much as films that I personally hated. eewww. i guess i'll try to concentrate on movies I like though. like, I am planning to review the ones I like the best.

Chungking Express ( Chung hing sam lam ) Review comment
i wasn't into WKW but saw this first (with the exception of seeing half of 2046 in the theaters). well, I really can appreciate In the Mood for Love. I don't care about beautifully shot movies, but that one is soo fantastic and probably my favorite. But Chungking Express is a close second. I need to see more WKW.
