Tarkovsky is way too slow for me. I guess I prefer French films. I may give T another chance and watch Zerkalo. It sounds interesting. I only tried Solaryis because of the Clooney remake. I heard the remake was terrible, but wanted to see if the original was better. I am not one to appreciate visuals as much as plot, acting, and good directing. But we'll see about Tarkovsky.

hmm ok i'll post about it here and then post a review of it I think.
3:10 to Yuma (Mangold, 2007). I'm not a fan of westerns and this movie had many flaws. However, the story was pretty good and it did not disappoint. Even though it was a "remake" I had never heard of the original. I have heard that there is another dimension to the remake: that it focus on the father/son relationship a little bit more.
Russell Crowe is a mediocre to okay actor in my book, but the delivery of his lines …

More or less everything. The fantasy element (some surreal scenes) and the whole beautiful black & white photograpy in which the two main actresses are shot, the dialogues (Bibi talking openly about her sexual experiences for example) that was just perfect as far as cinema goes :)

Em, because of everything? The directing, the acting, the cinematography, the brilliant experimental intro, the story, the scenes. Every single part of the movie made me love it, so it's not only my favorite Bergman but my favorite movie of all time. There a few movies that come pretty close to it as far as i am concerned and different directors can be masterful in different ways and i love many of them, but i simply chose Persona as THE one. There is no nuclear science to it, simply me being …

yes thats true. If it had made it before the matrix and some others it would've really been more interesting.

The Bourne Ultimatum Review comment
Hahaha, interesting review. Yeah, out of all the "Action" characters...I'd say Jason Bourne is among the elite. It would take Stallone, Van Damme, AND Seagal to come CLOSE to him, and still I think Bourne...maybe half dead, but yeah.
