Weak Viking movie

"Hammer Of The Gods" is a low budget movie set in the times when the Vikings were raiding England and fighting with the Saxons. If you want historical authenticity or proper period production design look elsewhere to the excellent TV show "Vikings" instead, for example. This movie is strictly an action movie, and not a very good one at that. The acting is pretty bad and most of the actors don't look like Vikings at all. The script is laced with F bombs, which Vikings did not say back then, so it just sounds stupid. The fight scenes, which are filled with some good bone crunching R-Rated violence, are sometimes decent, but they are always very small in scale. The technical credits are all weak due to the non-budget, but the musical score is the standout for being particularly awful. Also, characters do things that don't make any sense, and the "Apocalypse Now" ending is obvious and difficult to watch due to some really bad lighting. I usually love these types of movies, but that is not the case here. If you don't like this sort of thing to begin with you will most likely hate this movie.
