The Virgin Suicides review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 01/21/12
Cecilia Lisbon (Hanna R. Hall) attempts suicide. Trip Fontaine (Josh Hartnett) and Lux (Kirsten Dunst) get into a relationship. The score was impressive; direction was wonderful while the acting was good. Only questionable scenes were how the news reporter arrived on time while the girls protecting the tree and the depth of the suicides. The screenplay was efficient with a quote sums up the entire film Doctor – “What are you doing here, honey? You're not even old enough to know how bad life gets.” Not as brilliant as Heathers with regards to the topic of suicide nevertheless The Virgin Suicides showcases the sensitive topic with a touch of maturity in the view of teenage girls.
