I liked this little piece of forgotten noir that was recently re-released. It has a little of everything - mystery, romance and Edward G. Robinson, that gruff thespian. It may not match up with some of the all-time classics, but for fans of the genre, it's worth looking into - the atmosphere is perfect and the tension is kept high.
