Led by a role made iconic by Errol Flynn, "The Adventures of Robin Hood" does the Old English legends it's based on plenty of justice, and then some.

Hugely enjoyable rip-roaring swashbuckler from the old school. No post-modernism, no deconstructions, just goodie vs. baddie in a classic medieval romp.

This is really good-certainly one of the best movies of the 1930s. Errol Flyn brings suave energy and the stunts are so lively you'd think Yakima Canutt was involved. And people need to know the vibrant color here beats Wizard of Oz by a year. I want to build nostalgia for THIS Robin Hood with my boys! Final note: pink bucket head

The color, life, and energy in this film is infectious. It isn't the most gritty or realistic adventure film, but it is certainly one of the more spirited.

This is a stunningly breathtaking film. The color is fantastic, especcially for 1938. the year before The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind. One of the best adventure movies ever.

I did not care for this adventure. I see what makes it so great back in the day, but now, it is nothing more than a "classic film" in which nothing holds up over time!
