Shane Black's action comedy team up between Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe is a slick and entertaining mystery thriller. It's more reliant on style than storytelling but it's undeniably fun to watch. I mean, who would have thought that putting Crowe and Gosling together would have worked out so well. Plus, if nothing else it works as a strong debut for Angourie Rice. She's going places.
