The Peacemaker is a competently made but intermittently entertaining action movie by Mimi Leder.
It plays out very much like a poor man's James Bond with an emphasis on geopolitical intrigue owing a lot to Tom Clancy. George Clooney and Nicole Kidman aren't bad in their roles but have poor chemistry together.
The emphasis on Russian extremists being the bad guys and one snide remark about the Trump family were oddly prescient.
