Bette Davis is eminently watchable as the wife of a plantation owner in British Malaya who falls under suspicion after killing a man in self defense. Or so she claims. James Stephenson is good as her attorney and Herbert Marshall is given the chance to play a sympathetic role as her devoted if naive husband.
