Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr lend some gravitas to this film as a marine and a nun stranded together on a Japanese occupied island during WW2. The story is pretty straightforward. It’s a survival-thriller, but with some underlying romantic tension between their characters. It’s not necessarily an action-adventure but it’s an interesting setup for two great actors to play off each other.
