Dorothy Arzner creates a story of a young couple played by Sylvia Sidney and Fredric March. Through their misunderstandings they endure hardship and separation. Not quite the film Depression-era audiences were aching to go see. Until its recent DVD release, it has been hard to track down. However, it's a beautiful movie and it's highly recommended.
