After watching Last Week Tonight's Boeing segment, I felt a need to check out the feature-length documentary about the same subject - going a bit deeper. What I learned is that it's easy for any company, no matter how storied their history, to fall victim to corporate greed. It's well known just how many companies are willing to put executives and share holders above all - even when it involves putting actual lives at risk. Cutting corners, cutting jobs, stone-walling - as long as that stock continues to go up, who cares if a few (hundred) people are dead - and tens of thousands more at risk. Just another confirmation that we really are in the worst timeline.
