I like Lasse Hallstrom. The book was so messed up. The author wrote in FRAGMENTS. I am not kidding. I felt Julianna moore and Cate Blanchett should have switched roles. It would have made sense for Julianne Moore to play the bad, whorish wife and for Cate to play the widow.
