A clunky sequel, but the scene where Johnny Five gets smashed by the thugs was so heartbreaking to watch as a kid.

Since Steve Guttenberg wasn't in the movie I really didn't expect to like part 2 but I enjoyed it way more then part 1.Short Circuit 2 had more of a storyline that you could get into then the 1st Short Circuit.It also had more action & suspense & it almost made part 1 look boring.I found myself rooting for Johnny 5 & the good guys more then I did in the 1st film.Short Circuit 2 is definitely the better of the both

Whereas the original had the heart and emotional resonance, this sequel seems like it was made squarely for the younger crowd and while amusing at times, doesn't have near the impact as the original.
