This is one of those sentimental dramas that just tries too hard.

The story of a little boy with health problems. Cast aside by society because he is different he endures his pain with quiet dignity and a faith in God that should inspire us all. He is sure that God had a plan for him and that one day he would be a hero. This film isn't only about the "vertically challenged" Simon but about his friend Joe who has no dad and whose mom was accidentally killed by Simon while playing baseball. They both try to find Joseph's real father. This is the story of an unforgettable boy who somehow knew that he had a special mission in life. It is a wonderful, uplifting movie, well acted and full of love and broke my heart in more ways than one.

This film is astounding, never a dull moment. And it will break your heart off and on until the end when you can finally bawl your eyes out. It will warm your heart and make you laugh, and draw you in, make you feel very much a part of the characters' lives. Joseph Mazzello and Ian Michael Smith show what true best friends are, and how absolutely vital they are for life. Simon alone shows us how people aren't always kind, but faith is what will always get you through. This film is based on the book, "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving.

Heartwarming is the only word that can describe this film. It is an excellent film. Watch it a learn a lesson. I really wish a lot more people on this planet were like Simon. I think we would be a lot better off. If u haven't seen this film; do it.

I wanted to see this movie so bad, so I took my parents to see it or rather they took me and we were all so disappointed. My family hates me because of this film. Yucky, please avoid at all costs unless you want to have no friends, like me.
