A great looking film with a lot of excitement, the vastly underrated "Sky Captain" is a fun romp where comic book inspired visuals and 40s style noir collide.

The vintage cinematography and throwback approach to old serials is a joy to watch. Possibly partly in fault to trying to emulate these serials, the plot and acting is a little conventional, but the film still packs some entertaining moments. Better than most think.

A really terrible movie that never came close to my expectations that weren't high to begin with. A pretty forgettable movie.

The technology kind of overshadows the acting, but overall I was pleased with Sky Captain. It's far from perfect, but it is entertaining and I would watch it again. That counts a lot.

This movie gets three stars for trying. Ground breaking special effects while still trying to tell the story the old fashioned way. I was really hyped up to see it and was really let down. Maybe next time it will actually be really good.
