A haunting film that raises all sorts of ethical questions. The sometimes unpleasant subject matter is hit home even harder because of the all-star cast, who all commit deeply to their roles, however villainous and morally gray.

This was a very sad movie. It's hard not to feel empathy for those guys.

This movie is dark, and intense, and wonderful. It is really two movie in one. The first half is about a group of young boys growing up in Hell's Kitchen in the 1960s. The second half takes place in the 80s , and tells what has become of the boys. The first half of this movie is excellent. It's emotional and gritty and well acted by all of the child actors. The second half of the movie slows down a bit, but is still watchable due to it's sprinkling of eye candy curtosy of Brad Pitt and Billy Crudup. This is a good movie about revenge and lost innocense.

A pretty dark story for pretty boys such as Brad Pitt. It started out enjoyable and pretty soon it was like wtf? Well anyway, moderately recommended.

A film that once the credits roll and fade to black, you'll be thinking about for days to come. Emotionally intensive, at times hard to watch, this is powerful and moving. The young actors upstage the adults.

The first hour of this movie is absolutely sensational - with the kids growing up in Hell's Kitchen then spending time in Juvie. Once the "real" actors come on screen, it slows down and becomes more depressing. As a whole it is still good.
