Some well-written scenes between Nicholson (who slyly plays a grouchy old womanizer) and Keaton and these middle sequences, wherein the two grow close together, are the film's best. However, there are too many sappy scenes to make the film great. For one, Keaton is incredibly annoying when she "cries," (and the movie has no shortage of those scenes), and, for two, the film wraps up in Paris in what feels like a rushed and coincidental conclusion.

Is there such thing as a sophisticated romantic comedy anymore? Honestly, come on. No matter what the film is, there is always this hint of immaturity waved around that keeps it away from being a truly mature film. But, low and behold, we have one of the best romantic comedies in years here. Coming from the romantic expert Nancy Meyers, whom was responsible for the awesome What Women Want, crafts another witty and charming film about the ups and downs of relationships and dating. Mixing wonderful dialogue with superb acting, Something's Gotta Give is a tour-de-force that unleashes the best out of Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, and also sends hope to those that have given up on love. Definitely a must see.

Kind of cute but Nicholson is the same in everything. And there are just too many icky things -- Nicholson with Peet, Reeves with Keaton and I don't know about you, but I really don't want to see old people making out either.

Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson were great. Probably my favorite Nancy Meyers flick because I related to it (not being a 50 year old woman even) and I loved it. However, I don't recommend going to Paris in February like DK's character because it is brr, brr freezing :)

Average nice romance flick with decent acting and cool story. Jack, as always, is hilarious making this characters of old fox that doesnt lose the touch.
