For sure for the younger crowd but thats to be expected when it takes place in a highschool. I definitely enjoyed it and love having it in my collection. Its great for movie nights with the girls.

This is a really great chick flick (guys won't like it). The most popular girl in school, Bianca, isn't allowed to date unless her sister is, so a guy who likes Bianca pays a guy (Ledger) to go out with her sister. He finds himself falling in love with her, after all her loathe towards him, and she finds herself doing the same. Okay so I cried during this movie (as I do over most non sad movies). This is a great movie if you want to laugh, cry, and feel empathy towards the characters. Even though, I agree, that its not really a deep movie, it's not supposed to be! Its just a teen romance film, that leaves you feeling happy once its over.

Definitely a teen flick so don't expect anything deep. Ledger is charming as the rebellious Verona. I thought Stiles over-acted her part but it's just a cute comedy so all is forgiven.

I'd rather see the Elizabeth Taylor movie Taming of the Shrew again. However, this one is ok, but not adorable or anything.

Not a bad movie, not a great movie, but certainly watchable none the less.

A great, funny, teen comedy that is romantic, hilarious, and puts in a decent plot. I like this movie and I still watch it just about every time it is on. If you are 12-22 you will like this movie (especially if you are female).

Updating Shakespeare has been hit or miss. This modern take on Taming of the Shrew falls in the not-bad, not-great category. Watchable, but nothing special. This is a cute date movie for the younger crowd.
