The Who obviously wrote some classic songs, but Ken Russell's self-indulgent and trashy "rock opera" is just plain ugly and irritating. And it's got Phil Collins in it.

I really like the music, but the adaptation, despite starring some big names (Clapton, Elton John, Tina Turner) and The Who, never really connects. A good effort, but I think I'll stick to the soundtrack.
