The story is about a famous monster hunter, Van Helsing, is sent to hunt the biggest monster of them all.. Dracula and his wives. This movie was a lot of fun to watch and yes it was silly and stupid with it's action scenes but still fun.

Good idea, bad movie. Filled with special effects and classic horror movie characters, yet it is so boring.

A murky and cheerless action thriller. The movie tries to pack in as many gothic horror characters as possible, but that just makes the plot that much more convoluted. The real problem is that there is no energy or joy to this film that often feels like it's going through the motions and leaning on special effects.

The feel of this movie was just too fake. The plot was a bit flat and just not helped that much my the special effects. Not even Hugh Jackman could save it.

Awful, awful take on my favorite novel of all time: Dracula. The cast is phenomenal, so why didn't anyone stop Stephen Sommers on his parade of terrible effects, ghastly writing, and poorly adapted charactes? I would like to find the producers and slap them silly. Wretched, awful, terrible. The 2nd worst action movie of all time.

Van Helsing is from start to finish nothing more than an overly long Saturday morning cartoon. It is fun and forgiveable at first, offering visions of Dracula, Frankenstein, and Mr. Hyde. Then, it takes us to Transylvania on the hunt for Dracula, werewolves, and bizarre incubating baby vampires that need the focused lightning from Frankenstein to both hatch and live. Last, it forgets to end. Many times. More than two hours of this is simply intolerable, though the first thirty minutes is a blast.

Action from start to finish, could have been a little shorter with parts of the slaying scene removed. Wonderful special effects, with some talented actors. Anything dealing with demonds is always a plus.

Another sad example of style over substance. What could have been an action-packed drama is instead turned into a CGI monsterfest with flashy visuals and zero in the plot and character development department.

I loved this movie from start to finish. It was such a unique take on the Dracula story which is why I think it deserves props. How many movies bring together Dracula, Frankenstein and millions of vampire babies? Take it for what is is though, an action driven film with good special effects and mediocre acting.
