Cool premise, with by-the-numbers execution and a dull ending. I found myself not looking forward to the next view, of the same situation, after the fourth time or so.

The premise was unoriginal, but the method of executing the story was. It was like watching a drugged up Groundhog Day. I had mixed feelings about the flick. It was inventive the way they presented the story, a few scenic shots from various perspective. However, it lacked the proper character development, screenplay lacked depth, an action thriller which lacks thereof and the waste of talented artists like Forest Whitaker, William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver. You really have to sit thru the first scenes in order to fully appreciate the movie. Overall, it was a decent movie that just tries too hard to impress.

This movie is actually pretty good. The acting is very solid as you have a fantastic cast. The overall story moves at a great pace and stays very understandable for the audience. One thing that bothered me was how under used Sigourney Weaver was. She is in the movie for the first maybe ten to fifteen minutes then we never see her again until a 5 second flashback at the end and she is in the background. Overall this is a good movie to check out and I really recommend it.

When I think of a movie that had a cool trailer and ended up being terrible, this is what I think of.

An uninspired concept makes an incredibly dull film that simply tries too hard. It wants to be clever, it wants to be an action film, a conspiracy thriller, an edge of the seat whodunnit. But it fails at every turn. Dennis Quaid is wasted here, often laughable at his attempts to be an action hero. It's just plain boring and at 86 minutes long, it really shouldn't be the case.

i actually enjoyed this movie a lot! it was a very complex story that keeps you on your toes the whole time. it does get pretty annoying when they keep rewinding though, because they rewind at the most suspenseful moments (i guess they just like to keep everyone on their toes!)

Although it bounces around genres like a superball on crack, it kept me entertained. The flashbacks worked better than expected, even if the plot twists were pretty lame. A decent ride, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.

Not bad! As you already know this movie is about different vantage points. So... the first few were all right, but the movie got better at the president's vantage point and so on. It entails an intricate well planned plot, with alot of famous actors. Not an emmy winner, but still worth seeing. It will also ask the question of if our government has done or is currently doing what the movie does. You'll see what I mean.

Vantage Point is a hodge-podge wanna-be of many good scripts and movies. It could be good, if it focused on any of the genres, and didn't try to be everything. It has the premise and plot for an excellent political drama, but some lame plot twists ruin it. The action is terrible, and the acting is sub-par. Everyone here is cashing a check, and nobody cares about this lame script. Celebrities were thrown in to get more attention and money, without any real thought for the development or even point of their characters.
