Enjoyable cold war thriller for kids about a computer whiz who inadvertently sets in motion events that could lead to thermonuclear war. Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy make a cute and likeable couple and it's an unusual mix of intelligence and fun. One of the best teen movies of the 80s.

Even though the technology behind this film might be dated, the high concepts of war and politics it deals with still seem relevant. Many classic lines and movie moments abound.

A vintage 80s film that still feels right even if its looks are dated. WarGames my not make my top lists, but it's still a solid movie that keeps things interesting the whole way through.

(Maybe SPOILERS) No. Because I know nobody wins. Same happend in war. If a stupid computer, created by humans, can crack such a symple concept, why can't we? Maybe is a cheese moral ending for some. But is quite a fact. Matt Broderick acting and most of his characters, actually, are sometimes lame, true. But the flick is great and carries some great trivia that you find over the internet that turns it into a cool one. As well stated is: Instant classic.

In perhaps the first hacker movie ever, a teenage boy outwits the government and nearly causes global thermo-nuclear war. Vintage 80's.

Instant classic, Matthew Broderick role as a mischievousness computer hacker really hits the mark in what is still an ongoing debate of computers role in the world. It is also a great example of the Cold War's foolishness.
