I could recall that this action comedy lacked punch in both areas. It was unfortunate that the talented cast had to endure such dreadful direction and screenplay. A lot of moments when you just cringe instead of laugh. This is the result of a poor version of Cowboys & Aliens. The premise of it was ludicrous and the machines just not pleasing to the eye. Wild Wild West doesn't deliver in almost all aspects of an entertaining film.

Giant special effects are wasted on a completely incompetent movie. None of the jokes are funny, none of the action is thrilling, and most of the acting is annoying. There's so much going on, yet all of it fails to register as entertainment.

I'm not sure whether to blame the source material or this 1999 adaptation, but the blend of cartoony sci-fi and Wild West action is both silly and unbelievable. The comedy is more slapsticky than clever and borders on annoying.

This film lack comedy or any sort of fun. It action scenes are well done. Nothing is done well in this, it is just plainly poorly made. Acting is subpar across the board and it is mostly just filled with obscene humor, that is just more of annoying than anything else.

This is one of those supposed to be fun movies, but I just didn't dig it. Especially the spider thing.
