Action: 2 / 3, Comedy: 0.5 / 2, Good vs Evil: 1 / 1, Love/Sex: 0.5 / 1, Special Effects: 0.5 / 1, Plot: 1 / 1, Music: 1 / 1 = 6.5 / 10 or 65%, which is 2 / 4 stars per my rating system. Jackman gives a starmaking performance as Wolverine and the strong acts of Stewart and McKellen propel this above mediocrity.

Although I was not familiar with X-Men before I went to this show with my son, I immediately fell in love with the Mutants. The show is fun and full of great action. The characters are cool and Magnito is a great bad guy.

I'm not usually so big on comic book hero movies but I remember enjoying this one when I saw it in the theaters. I remember being a big fan of the early 1990s cartoon as well, and maybe that helped, who knows.

While better than a lot of comic book super hero movies, it is not done all that well and we are left with a some good action, a weak plot and much to be desired. The sequel is much better but check this one out if you like the comic.

If there's anything wrong with the first film in a superhero series, it's that there's too much origin story to get out of the way. With X-men, you have a lot of that. Still, one of the better films in its genre.

This movie is sweet. It is defiantly my favorite comic book inspired movie. The acting is good, it is action packed and the sequels are just as good.
