Interesting mixture of bleak social commentary and a standard police procedural. The plot twist may be spoiled by popular culture from the past 47 years, but it’s still a fairly gripping setup. With environmental degradation worsening today, it’s increasingly prophetic.

Except the idea that women can be sold and used like furniture (it seems men couldn´t -and can´t- imagine a future where women are not sex object), the plot of the movie is great. And kind of creepy.

I was kinda tipped about the ending, so I have a sorta biased opinion about the whole movie. But really, the best part of the movie was Edward G. Robinson's death scene. That was pretty good. The rest of the movie was kinda forgettable.

Not that good of a movie. There were some really interesting scenes but I wouldn't call it good. The front loaders and the ending are very well done. But, the overall concept of the film is lacking. Only true sci lovers will like it.

It's an older film that is sadly tainted by the fact that's it's catch line is infused in pop culture so without ever seeing the movie you will likely know how it ends. But it was definitely the Sixth Sense of it's day and a very fun movie. One of the best.

Soylent Green is people! This is just a wierd film. It takes a while to get through, but, the final scenes in the factory are fun. Watch this with some friends and try and figure out what exactly the message of the film is.
