Funny and enjoyable, with good performances from Astaire and Rogers. The musical numbers were nothing special, but entertaining nonetheless. I prefer musicals with more songs, rather than routine dance numbers.

Paper thin plot that serves, of course, to connect some spectacular displays of singing and dancing. Not the best of the Astaire/Rogers pairings, but a fun one, nevertheless.

Some of the music was good, but the plot? Didn't like the Astaire character - engaged to one girl while putting moves on another one. Just wrong.

Not bad, though not good either. I didn't enjoy any of the musical numbers but the acting and the story was ok. Better than many musicals I have seen. If you are a classic movie fan, you will enjoy this. If not, stay away.

I would have given it a 3 if it wasn't for the very racist blackface scene.
