Michael Moore takes on the health insurance industry in his latest documentary, and he packs a strong emotional punch. Much of the documentary details people who have health insurance but are burdened by high premiums, claim denials, and a system that's out to make money rather than help people. This is done in true Michael Moore fashion, which draws some complaints, but since he's writing, directing, and producing the damn thing, it seems only fair he gets to make what he wants. The scene in the final half hour where he loads people up in a boat and sets sail for Guantanomo Bay (the place on U.S. soil that has universal health care) is probably one of my favorites from the past year.

I didn't agree with all of it, and he left quite a bit out, BUT, he did a fantastic job at what he was trying to accomplish--point out the flaws of the American system in order to get people talking.

Is it HIGHLY slanted? Yes. Does it piss me off that even those pussies in France can get better health care than we can? Not to mention they make it look easy? Absolutely. I am rating this one on a documentary scale... which I don't consider the same as a "movie". I want to see someone as bat $h*t crazy as Michael Moore argue the other side. That is the only reason this isn't getting a 4 star rating. Documentaries should be comprehensive. I give it 3.5 out of a possible 4 unexplainable rashes.
