Essential in vampire film canon and world cinema as a whole, "Nosferatu" remains creepily unsettling for Max Schreck's dastardly appearance and the accompanying score. A symphony of horror this is indeed.

Classic horror that should be seen by all genre fans. The scare factor doesn't hold up, obviously, but Schreck still makes a compelling and creepy villain. It's a well done film, regardless of age. One of the most memorable silent films ever made, for good reason.

The soundtrack was frighting and the main vampire Count Orlok or people call him Nosferatu is one scary and creepy Bad-ass vampire. the movie is in black and white and that makes the movie more scary because if Count Orlok was in color he will look like Gargamel or count chocula, so if they did a remake of this movie in the future they should make it in to black and white. the nick picks that I have on the movie is the movie is a silent movie and you have to read it and don't get me wrong I like silent movies but if your a fast reader then you are going to think that this movie is slow because the words are they for 1 minute.so that is my review of this movie and I really loved it more then the remake in the 70's.

I don't think I had the best print (or soundtrack) available for viewing, so an updated version (ala Metropolis) would probably help things along. That being said, Nosferatu has an incredible atmosphere and Max Schreck is simply creepy as they get at Count Orlock. If you like classic horror, make time for this.

"You can't escape destiny by running away." The creepy score, realistic make-up, and set location was creatively executed to bring the horror. Harker leaves Nina to be at Count Dracula's castle. He reads a book "In 1443 the first Nosferatu was born" Notes about vampires are displayed. Nina gets sick with a disease. Only a woman with a pure heart can cure the disease. Only qualm I had was the snail paced movements in certain scenes. Nosferatu the Vampire is an influential horror film, the simple yet elegant direction and performances made it horrific.

There's a lot of creepy atmosphere conjured up through the brilliant use of shadow and lighting in this film. It effectively sparked a lot of the standard elements of vampire films still used today, but it's much scarier than most other films in the genre.

At 85 years old as of the time of of this review Nosferatu is one of the the most creepy horror films to date. In this age, where special effects have been taking the lead and plot is a secondary character, where thrills are represented by a loud noise, followed by an unexpected apparition, Nosferatu shines. This is a movie that preys on your inner fears, where slowly opening doors play with your imagination and make you feel scared just because of what might happen next, where the crude special effects are not the goal, but a medium.
