'The Bad and the Beautiful' sheds some light on Hollywood's darker side in this 'warts and all' story about a powerful studio boss and the people whose lives he ruined in some fashion. It's a film noir with no dead bodies but plenty of cynicism and callous human behavior on full display.

A bold noir-ish drama that highlights the strength of its actors. It's a brooding film, but one worth watching.

I really loved this movie and that is saying a lot. I usually don't like Lana Turner, but she is great in this. A perfect Hollywood movie.
