Visconti can be wonderful or terrible for me. I knew from the first moment, though that this film was something special. Anna Magnani was great in it. And no matter what occurred in the film, you were on a delightful ride that was immaculate in its execution. I LOVE IT!!!!! This is why I watch films, for a movie like this.
