This globe trotting thriller pits four brothers against a greedy arms syndicate to clear their murdered father's name. The set-up is intriguing enough but the movie is not quite as exciting as it should be. There are some memorable scenes, like a harrowing massacre in Latin America. Loretta Young does try to breathe some life into it as a bubbly socialite turned adventuress.

John Ford's directorial style is easy to miss in this lighthearted and well-cast mystery romp; the script is preposterous, but it's very entertaining. Final Grade: B
