Given the joyful spirit of the early scenes, it would be hard to expect that "Jules and Jim" will take some unfortunate turns by the end.

This kind of films are made when they can't think of anything interesting and original, why is this film so appreciated i really dont understand those french filmmakers seem to like boring lives and they do not offer anything fresh or interesting dont watch it rather watch The Shining or Aguirre twice

Truffaut dabbles in his inner Fellini in crafting a film that exudes an overall feeling, more than it does a linear plot. The film traces the relationships between three young Parisian, but it's really a film that celebrates love and laughter in whimsical, and often very funny ways. The sprint through the Louvre is a classic that still captures the life-affirming feeling of adventure and youth. One of Truffaut's best and most famous.
