The genres this movie tries to get away with are countless: Noir, western, drama. There's even a musical number that seems out of place. It had the same type of ending as Witness for the Prosecution: it has a shocking reversal that changes everything and makes the film stand tall and unforgotten. This is probably my favorite western. Or at least the best one I've seen.
